About Us — Our Story

How a staffing agency owner from Boston became one of the internet's most trusted tungsten ring sellers.

My name is Damien Castagnozzi, and Tungsten Fashions was not exactly what I had planned.

Before launching this site, I owned a successful temp staffing agency called Temporary Solution Staffing — which even won Best of Boston in 2004. I built that business from the ground up starting in 2002, and after several years I decided it was time for a new challenge. In the spring of 2008, I started looking for something I could buy and sell online for a small profit.

That's when I stumbled upon tungsten rings.

I had no background in jewelry, no web design experience, and no blueprint to follow. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on web design classes, and honestly, I didn't have the time. So I taught myself through online tutorials, built the site from scratch, and in May of 2008, TungstenFashions.com went live — out of a tiny office in Downtown Crossing, Boston.

Those first few weeks were humbling. A few hits a week. Three or four ring styles. Almost no sales.

But I believed in it. And slowly, it grew.

Today, Tungsten Fashions has sold over 20,000 rings in more than 32 countries around the world. We've moved from that tiny Boston office to a larger facility in Mansfield, MA. We ship hundreds of rings every month, and we've built a community of loyal customers — many of whom have been with us since nearly the very beginning.

My focus has never changed: great customer service, fast shipping, and prices that are always fair. I was thrilled to get that very first order, and even though we now have thousands and thousands of customers, every single one of you means just as much to us today as that first customer did back in 2008.
