Getting the right size is about more than just measuring — here are a few things that can affect how a ring fits:
- Measure at the end of the day. Your fingers are slightly larger in the evening due to natural swelling from daily activity. Sizing at the end of the day gives you a more accurate fit for everyday wear.
- Temperature matters. Fingers shrink in the cold and expand in the heat. Try to measure at room temperature for the most consistent result.
- Wider rings fit tighter. If you're ordering a ring that is 8mm or wider, consider going up half a size from your normal measurement. Wider bands sit higher on the finger and can feel snugger than a narrower ring of the same size.
- When in between sizes, go larger. If your measurement falls between two sizes, always go with the larger size. It's much easier to deal with a slightly loose ring than one that won't go past your knuckle.
